Production Manager
Job overview
- The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the production schedule to meet customer demand and optimize resources.
- Ensure that production processes run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate production staff to achieve performance goals and enhance team collaboration.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize production processes.
- Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure product consistency and compliance and address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and finished goods are managed effectively.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Develop and manage the production budget, monitoring expenditures and ensuring cost control.
- Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Prepare and present production reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and drive operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in the field of Industrial Engineering, including at least 5 years of work experience in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production scheduling tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken) – essential for technical documentation and communication. Russian language is an advantage.
