Junior Tax Specialist
UHY AzerbaijanUHY LLC is seeking a motivated and qualified Junior Tax Specialist for the Tax Team, with a degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation. We offer a stimulating and rewarding work environment, fostering teamwork and a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of schedules necessary for completing tax returns
- Assist in gathering and organizing information needed in the conduct of various state and local tax audits including but not limited to sales and use, income, and property
- Assist in gathering and organizing information needed in the conduct of an tax audit
- Review of documents and posting of entries in Accounting System/General Ledger
- Collect data and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Administration of e-tax account
- Prepare and follow up on payments to suppliers within the Accounting System
- Prepare client invoices in compliance with approved procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- Relavant work experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of local tax legislation
- Candidates with ACCA papers (F3 at least) are an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Thorough understanding of general accounting principles
- Ability to research, learn and analyze applicable tax law rules and regulations
