Field Service Specialist

Job Description

  • The Field Service Specialist is responsible to install, commission, maintain, retrieve and where authorized repair OneSubsea Products as well as ancillary equipment according to company and client procedures. Undertake activities in both an onshore and offshore capacity.
  • Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well both independently and in a team.
  • In this position, you will be working on Cameron products and services. Cameron is part of the SLB product family and is a leading provider of flow equipment products, systems, and services to worldwide oil, gas, and process industries

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all work in strict adherence to company procedures.
  • Attend and participate in Extended Factory Acceptance Testing (EFAT); System Integration Testing (SIT) / Site Receipt Testing (SRT) / Pre Deployment Testing.
  • Installation / commissioning / retrieval of OneSubsea equipment per approved procedure.
  • Provide accurate maintenance and spares usage feedback throughout tasks.
  • Ensure Health, Safety, and Security & Environmental procedures are adhered to.
  • Investigate and diagnose any deficiency which may impede efficient installation and take the appropriate corrective action to resolve the situation.
  • Provide the customer’s representative with sufficient information and guidance to ensure safe and correct task completion.
  • Review procedures and drawings of equipment on a regular basis; carry out pre- use inspection of equipment (visual and written) by procedure. Undertake pre-task safety survey and necessary toolbox/site talks with client prior to equipment being used.
  • Decommission and/or rig down and organize shipping of test equipment, spares or any excess equipment back to the facility.
  • Support onshore activities as required – Preventative maintenance, pre-deployment testing, load out activities & repairs.
  • Document non-conformances in the field or onshore via the QUEST SQ system.  Highlight any deficiencies immediately to onshore supervision / management.
  • Liaise with customers and provide on-site feedback pertinent to the task.
  • Complete Field Service Orders (FSO) and Competence Checklists before demobilization and ensure that the customer has reviewed and signed the FSO/Competence Checklists applicable to the task.
  • Assist with training and competence development of Personnel as required both onshore and offshore.
  • Actively engage with the field service competency management and training programs

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualification in mechanical/hydraulic and/or electrical trade skills (as appropriate for posted role) - Qualifications can be offset by accredited prior experience and attained skill sets.
  • 2-3 years of experience in relevant technical competencies is preferred.
  • Operational field service background with proven oil industry experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet operational deadlines in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
