Procurement Manager
Responsibilities:
- Oversees medication and pharmaceutical supply purchasing processes including procurement of medications and other pharmaceutical supplies, working with hospital wholesaler, vendors, and freight companies, managing medication recalls and conducting annual medication inventory;
- Prepares bidding files and manages the tender procedure for medicines with suppliers in accordance with the procurement procedure;
- Continually reviews and analyzes operations recommending and implementing operational changes, new technologies, etc. that will increase the efficiency and level of service of the pharmacy in collaboration with Pharmacy Supervisor or Manager;
- Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management;
- Approve purchase orders and ensure the timely delivery of goods;
- Negotiate contracts and deals with sellers and distributors during procurement and management of goods;
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities;
- Manage relationships with suppliers and select and develop new suppliers;
- Develop creative and innovative procurement processes;
- Analyze market trends and adjust purchasing strategies;
- Build and foster long-term relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ of work experience in Pharmaceutical industry;
- Professional qualification, especially preference for CIPS certificates;
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage budgets effectively;
- Excellent level of Azerbaijani language, advanced level of Russian and English.
Work conditions:
- Working hours: 09:00-18:00, 5 days a week;
- Salary will be commensurate with experience.
