ADA University was established under the decree dated January 13th, 2014, by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The University is a state higher education institution engaged in the delivery of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in addition to the advancement of research.
The University is the legal heir of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) and Information Technologies University. They were merged in January 2014 to establish ADA University.
Founded on March 6, 2006, the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy began offering an Advanced Foreign Service Program to diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and civil servants in the government, as of January 2007. The Academy launched its first master degree in September 2009, followed by bachelor degrees in September 2011.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Operations Management
The School of Business at ADA University invites applications from candidates with professional and scholarly accomplishments for a full-time faculty position in Operations Management, beginning Fall 2025. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in Operations Management and related fields (e.g., Statistics). We seek dynamic, energetic, and entrepreneurial scholars eager to collaborate in an international environment. Evidence of successful engagement with the business community is also desirable.
Responsibilities
- Commitment to teaching excellence,
- Contributing to curriculum and program development, and accreditation of the degree programs,
- Publishing in reputable peer-reviewed journals and presenting at conferences,
- Collaborating with fellow faculty members,
- Serving on university and school committees as needed,
- Providing students with consistent and effective support and guidance, including thesis and capstone project supervision,
- Delivering a teaching load of 3/3 for Assistant Professors or 3/2 for Associate Professors. The teaching load may be reduced to 3/2 for Assistant Professors who demonstrate a strong research record or potential.
- Participating in university and community life.
Required qualifications
- PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management, or related field from an accredited institution by the start of employment.
- Demonstrated strong potential for high quality teaching and research relevant to the position.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong commitment to serving both the university and society.
