Job Description:

The Production Engineer is responsible for all Petroleum Engineering and Production Engineering related functions of an Asset to ensure optimal production and reserves recovery, cost effective development schemes and integrated solutions.

Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well both independently and in a team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Performing hydraulic calculations for wells, and oil and gas transportation systems using specialized steady-state and dynamic software products. 
• Consulting clients on optimizing well performance and transportation oil/gas gathering systems. 
• Flow assurance studies in multiphase flow conditions.  
• Analyzing data obtained during calculations and providing recommendations to improve well and production systems operational performance. 
• Participating in consulting projects related to production performance and optimization. 
• Collaborating with the software development team to create new solutions, improvements, and implement the latest technologies. 
• Software user training conduction. 
• Works in a multidisciplinary team. Works with Completions and Artificial Lift engineers and defines the life cycle based well completion designs (AL, sand face, upper completion), ESP selection etc. 
• Preparing documentation and reports. 
• Configuring, and supporting Edge equipment for managing hydrocarbon production processes (wells and other equipment performance optimization). 
• Testing and diagnostics of installed Edge systems, identifying and resolving faults with HQ support. 
• Training users (operators and technical personnel) to work with installed equipment. 
• Managing data management projects. 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Higher education in Petroleum or Production engineering (master’s degree). 
• Experience in well performance analysis of different artificial lift types (ESP, SRP, Gas Lift etc.). 
• Knowledge of hydraulic calculation principles and methods for wells and hydrocarbon gathering systems. 
• Experience with hydraulic calculation software is an advantage. 
• Ability to work with clients, analyze their needs, and offer effective solutions. 
• Knowledge of Edge solutions and automation systems is an advantage. 
• Experience in installation, configuration, and support of Edge systems is an advantage. 
• Knowledge of Python programming languages is an advantage. 
• Knowledge of databases, SQL, and data management systems is an advantage. 
• 10+ years’ experience in the oil and gas industry is an advantage. 
• Fluent Azerbaijani language, technical English, Russian is an advantage. 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
