JOB SUMMARY
- The European Azerbaijan School is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to fill the role of Personal Assistant to the Principal. In this role, you will serve as the right hand to the Director, providing administrative and organizational support to ensure the smooth operation of the school's leadership team. You will handle various administrative tasks and play a crucial role in maintaining effective internal and external communication.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administrative Support: Perform general office duties such as answering phones, taking messages, greeting visitors, typing, copying, filing, sorting, and handling mail.
- Directorial Assistance: Provide administrative support and guidance to the school Director. Manage the Director's schedule, schedule meetings, and assist in preparing documents and presentations.
- Communication Hub: Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries from staff, students, parents, and other parties. Direct inquiries appropriately and maintain effective communication channels within the school.
- Meeting Coordination: Take messages and schedule meetings for the Director, ensuring efficient time management and coordination of appointments.
- Special Projects: Format and complete special projects as the Director assigns, contributing to the school's initiatives.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other duties as needed to support the effective operation of the school.
QUALIFICATIONS
- To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma and at least one year of related experience in general clerical work.
- Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and the public.
Interpersonal Skills
- Strong teamwork and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Friendly and personable demeanor.
Language Skills:
- Fluent in Azerbaijani.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in Russian is a plus.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in using computer applications, including Google Suite and MS Office.
- General knowledge of computer usage and database software.
- Accurate and proficient typing skills.
