Leading research and data analytics specialist will play a critical role in driving data-enabled product development initiatives that support the strategic vision and commercial growth of the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE). This position is tailored for a data professional who will design and deliver impactful visual analytics, drive data monetization opportunities, and contribute to market research and business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and visual widgets using tools such as Power BI or Tableau, tailored to various stakeholders (internal teams, market participants, and external clients).
• Maintain, update, and optimize existing dashboards to ensure data accuracy, clarity, and performance.
• Support product innovation by providing data-driven insights on new market trends, investor behaviors, and competitive dynamics.
• Contribute to the enhancement of existing financial instruments and support feasibility studies for new product ideas using internal data and external benchmarks.
• Create monetizable visual components that can be offered as part of BSE’s market data or insight services.
• Work intensively with SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) large datasets from multiple sources, including trading platforms, market data feeds, and client systems.
• Conduct deep-dive data analytics to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights in trading behavior and market performance.
• Assist in producing market research reports and commercial product briefs that inform management decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Power BI (or similar BI platforms) is mandatory.
• Experience working with large datasets, data models, and ETL pipelines.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and automation is desirable.
• Understanding of financial instruments such as equities, bonds, and market structure basics is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
