HVAC System Inspector
Caspian Technical SolutionResponsibilities:
- Inspect HVAC system installations (ductwork, piping, insulation, units) to ensure conformance to project drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Verify that HVAC equipment installation (AHUs, FCUs, chillers, compressors, etc.) complies with manufacturer and industry requirements.
- Monitor testing and commissioning activities of HVAC systems, including air balancing and performance verification.
- Review and verify as-built drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and inspection & test plans (ITPs).
- Inspect insulation materials and application procedures for HVAC components.
- Witness functional testing, pressure testing, and pre-commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Verify calibration of instruments used in HVAC inspection.
- Monitor quality of mechanical installations related to HVAC (e.g., dampers, fire stopping, grilles, controls).
- Identify and report non-conformities, deficiencies, and unsafe acts or conditions.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical discussions regarding HVAC inspection.
- Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and site engineers to resolve HVAC-related issues.
Requirements:
- Citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan
- Full time employee;
- 7 years and above of experience within the oil and gas industry;
- Good command of Azerbaijan and English, (Russian is an advantage)
- Certifications or thorough knowledge of related industry codes & standards;
- Ability to interpret single-line and/or schematic mechanical drawings as well as plans and specifications QA/QC of Mechanical works
- Basic design requirements, estimation, installation activities related to Mechanical works for construction of building and infrastructure projects
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- Management skills to lead a team of Mechanical Inspectors in the field of inspection and approvals of installed works
- Salary is Negotiable.
