Role overview: 

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Demand Forecasting & Sales Planning Specialist to join our Planning team. 

What You'll be doing:

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand forecasts at the SKU and brand level, at weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly levels of detail.
• Balance sales history, recent trends, planned promotions, and assortment changes to build baseline forecasts.
• Integrate inputs from Finance, Commercial, Marketing teams to craft initial plans, and to adjust forecasts in-season, based on sales performance, market intelligence, upcoming campaigns, assortment changes (additions/deletions), consumer behavior, and supply chain disruptions.
• Communicate forecast adjustments, as well as the root causes, with all key stakeholders.
• Lead the monthly S&OP cycle end to end, driving consensus and clearance of key decisions. 
• Present forecast summaries, risks, and opportunities to leadership during planning meetings and cross-functional reviews.
• Support inventory and supply planning teams with demand inputs to ensure sufficient production and procurement coverage, while minimizing obsolescence and overstock.
• Track forecast accuracy and inventory KPIs such as stockouts, excess inventory, to identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Perform root cause analysis on forecast errors and develop corrective actions to continuously improve performance.
• Contribute to annual and seasonal business planning cycles by providing data-driven demand projections.
• Build demand scenarios to support contingency planning, capacity planning, and supply chain risk mitigation.
• Support financial planning teams with revenue forecasts and operational inputs for budgeting processes.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Finance, Business, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of end-to-end experience in demand planning, supply chain forecasting, or inventory management 
• Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large data volumes
• Strong communication skills (ethics in business communication, negotiation and presentation, decision-making, objections handling, teamwork, drive for results, teaching skills and trainability 
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling. 
• Familiarity with product life cycle management, new product introductions and assortment edits, and promotional demand forecasting.
• Fluent in Azerbaijani and Russian languages, English - İntermediate
