Fire Watcher
Location: Offshore Platform
Work Schedule: Rotational (e.g., 14/14 or 28/28)
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitor hot work areas to identify and respond to fire hazards.
- Ensure fire protection equipment (extinguishers, fire blankets, etc.) is present and in working condition.
- Maintain a clear and safe working area during welding, grinding, cutting, and other hot work.
- Stop work and raise alarms if unsafe practices are observed or fire hazards arise.
- Stay alert and present throughout all hot work operations.
- Follow company and client safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Assist in emergency response if needed.
- Complete fire watch logs and documentation as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Fire Watcher in offshore or industrial environments preferred.
- Basic knowledge of fire prevention and hot work safety.
- Completion of relevant safety training (e.g., BOSIET/FOET, H2S, Fire Safety Training) is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to work in offshore conditions.
- Ability to remain alert, responsible, and safety-focused at all times.
- Good communication skills.
