Position summary

• This is a full time job. A montessori teacher assistant is responsible for preparation of Classroom, assistance in leading different activities, taking care of children.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead Montessori teacher in daily classroom activities and routines;
• Organize the classroom and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment;
• Keep all teaching supplies and materials up to date;
• Motivate students with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
• Maintain discipline and good order in classroom;
• Observe children and report observations to the lead teacher;
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement;
• Work within a team plan and coordinate work;
• Take part in school events and activities;
• Liaise with colleagues, build good working relations and work with flexibility;
• Organize lunch and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times;
• Ensure the classroom is always neat and tidy.

Job Profile

Requirements

• Higher education in the field of pedagogy is preferable (Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus)
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting
• Personal qualities
• Ability to work in a team
• Strong communication, research and writing skills.

• Language skills
•            Fluency in English.
