Main job responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the operation of all computer hardware provision, ensure all systems are operational and properly installed, and act as the primary point of contact for computer hardware provision services.
- Ensuring that all systems are equipped with the necessary maintenance contracts and that preventive maintenance is performed as required
- Continuously stay informed and make suggestions about systems and technology that can improve the efficiency of the hotel and business center
- Computer hardware support systems and devices, including Personal Computer Local Area Network technology.
- Software operating and server software systems.
- Integration of Front-office Property Management Systems and other systems.
- Internal and External Email / Fax / Scanner software and communication service programs.
- Terminal system for making payments at the point of sale. (Micros) Telephone call recording. Hub (network core)/ Switch (switchboard) Control Systems. Electronic Door Locking Computer System.
- Protecting computers from viruses.
- Overseeing the IT Security and Network Protection System of the Hotel and Plaza
- Updating the list of all computer equipment
- Understanding of computer system(s) configuration reports, task management languages, program file and data file management functions, point-of-sale payment terminals, and telephone call recording systems, including but not limited to system security, system reports, administrator functions, system service programs, and user functions, to ensure maximum operational efficiency
- Testing and presenting for familiarization the recovery procedures to be followed in the event of a computer system(s) failure, in the event of a relevant accident
- Ensuring that all computer information is recorded, backed up, documented, and maintained in accordance with technical requirements.
- Maintaining uncompromising data protection and physical security standards
- Monitor the computer room key/lock and ensure that the computer room fire protection, temperature control and power requirements comply with IHG's technical safety requirements, as specified in the IHG security system
- Management of all usernames, passwords and the most sensitive system services, protection of all highly sensitive resources and important libraries
- Under the direction of the Director, managing all back-office usernames, passwords, security settings and the most sensitive service programs
- Maintaining technical and user documentation, system reports, newsletters, and announcements in a neat, orderly, and secure manner
- Completion and distribution of activity reports, program violation reports, and improved program lists
- Stay up-to-date with the latest, most up-to-date changes, improvements and developments in the hotel computing field by subscribing to periodicals and attending seminars, symposiums or conferences held by IHG, computer companies and vendors.
- Informing department heads when new features and changes to the system affect departments
- Providing information to department heads about current computer-related issues, new versions, IIS trends, viruses, etc.
- Coordinating the purchase of applications or enhanced applications to meet specific hotel and business center needs, where these applications are not included in existing standards set by the corporate office.
Candidate requirements:
- 3 years of work experience in the field
- Flexibility
- Language skills: Azerbaijani, Russian and English
- Ability to work in a team, responsibility, organization, independence and a tendency towards self-development.
