Hydraulic Technician

Spektr Group Azerbaijan is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Technician to join our team on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems and components. This includes diagnosing faults, performing hose and fitting replacement, conducting pressure testing, and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and rectify faults in hydraulic systems
- Repair and overhaul hydraulic components including pumps, motors, valves and cylinders
- Assemble and crimp hydraulic hoses in line with OEM requirements
- Perform pressure testing and functional testing
- Maintain accurate service records and reporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and company quality standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as a Hydraulic Technician in oil & gas, heavy industry, or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic system design, operation, and fault diagnosis
- Hands-on experience with hose assembly, crimping machines, and pressure testing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical documentation
- Experience working with high-pressure systems
- Good understanding of safety procedures related to hydraulic systems and stored energy risks
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Flexible approach to site work and occasional field assignments
- Relevant technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanical or hydraulic engineering
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
